ABOUT
our host: Edward freeman
Meet Edward Freeman, host of Back In My Day podcast, and Co-Founder & Director of E4 Recruitment. Edward spent time volunteering in aged care facilities and understood the lack of visitors a large proportion of residents receive. Spending time with the elderly and having a cuppa and a chat made a big impact on Edward, who seen a real need for elderly companionship and the value it added to their lives.
Edward has created this podcast thanks to the support of aged care facilities, who have gone above and beyond to help coordinate residents who want to share their stories. Thank you to all aged care providers who have participated in this podcast, your care and commitment to residents wellbeing is truly commendable.
We support Connect The 40 charity, aiming to bridge the gap of the estimated 40% of aged care residents who are without loved ones or visitors.
Why did we make this podcast?
The podcast started because we genuinely want to enhance the well-being of aged care residents. We also wanted to spread the incredible resident stories that our E4 Recruitment aged care staff would share with us, knowing how important preserving this stories would be.
During the podcast interviews, we’ve gained valuable insights into the aged care journey. These insights will greatly assist families supporting their loved ones and individuals considering aged care for themselves. Our goal is to offer more resources and personal experiences to bring clarity to the process.
